The Alpha Invitation 2010 is an exciting chance for churches across Australia to rally together and jointly raise the profile of Alpha so that more people can be introduced to a relationship with Jesus Christ.

“I have this sense of urgency deep down within me, and I don’t know whether it’s just because I’m getting old and getting lots of grey hair and failing eyesight and feel that time is running out. But actually I’ve always sensed this urgency since I’ve been a Christian. I don’t know whether it’s because I’m an impatient person, which I certainly am, but I hope it has something to do with the urgency that there is in the New Testament.

“I am doing the Alpha Course for the first time. I am a Christian and have been for a long time, I am also a regular church goer. I thought Alpha would fill some gaps in my Christian faith and so I signed up for the course.

“If God’s all knowing and all powerful, then free will is an illusion, isn’t it?” One of the many questions that a bunch of Year 11 students asked a Youth Alpha team during recent lunchtime discussions. Just how do we start a conversation with the next generation about God, life, the universe and everything?
